These Terms of Use apply to your use of https://repairmeyourself.com (the “site”), operated by Repair Me Yourself (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Educational information only

Our guides are general troubleshooting and repair information for household appliances. They are not professional repair advice and do not replace a licensed technician, electrician, plumber or gas fitter. Appliance models differ, so always check your owner’s manual and the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Our Disclosure explains the limits of our advice in more detail.

Your safety and your responsibility

Appliance repair can involve electricity, gas, water and heavy or sharp parts. Before any repair, disconnect power and shut off water or gas where applicable. Stop and call a qualified professional if a repair involves gas lines, sealed refrigerant systems, high-voltage components you are not trained to handle, or anything you are unsure about. You are responsible for deciding whether a repair is safe for you to attempt. DIY repairs may also void your manufacturer’s warranty.

Using our content

All text, images, graphics and other content on the site are owned by Repair Me Yourself or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell or redistribute our content, in whole or in substantial part, without our written permission. Short quotes with a link back to the original page are welcome.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site in a way that breaks the law, harms the site or its visitors, or interferes with its operation. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access, introducing malicious code, or scraping the site in a way that places an unreasonable load on our servers.

Some pages contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you buy through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Disclosure for details. Our pages also link to manufacturers, retailers and other websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, prices, availability or privacy practices, and your purchases from them are governed by their terms.

No warranties

We work to keep our guides accurate and up to date, but the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that following a guide will fix your appliance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Repair Me Yourself will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including property damage, personal injury, appliance damage or lost money, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
